Tournament officials with the U.S. Club Nationals have secured the final batch of commitments for 2017 and are excited to announce the 13 programs that will be attending the exclusive second running of this cross-country baseball showdown, fueled by unprecedented coast-to-coast competition.
The event is slated for July 18-22 in Atlanta, GA, and will include Media Day, 13u and 14u championship games on ESPN 3, and closing ceremonies at SunTrust Park, the new home of the Atlanta Braves.
Here’s who’s coming to the U.S. Club Nationals:
6-4-3 DP Baseball
Central Alabama Nationals
East Cobb Baseball
Five Star Tigers
Mound Time Baseball
South Bay Surf
“I am fired up about the 2017 U.S. Club Nationals, especially coming off of the World Baseball Classic,” said Joe Santilli, event director and Director of Baseball for Triple Crown Sports. “Like the WBC, this event features different styles of play by 13 organizations from 10 different states including Ontario, Canada.”
Teams will compete in their respective age groups, and point totals from each club’s finish will be compiled to determine the overall U.S. Club Nationals champion.
“Powerhouse programs returning to the event, such as East Cobb Baseball, 6-4-3 DP, Dallas Tigers and Dallas Patriots, should be tested by this year’s new clubs: Five Star Tigers, Georgia Bombers and EvoShield Canes,” Santilli added. “I also expect the returning clubs from out West (Slammers and Mound Time) to be much improved after a full year to prepare for this event. The other new clubs to the event will certainly come to compete: Fieldhouse Pirates out of Canada, Tidewater Drillers from the East Coast, Central Alabama Nationals and the South Bay Surf out of SoCal.”
